Booth Transport’s successful installation of a Gaia EnviroTech Biodigester (AD) in Northern Victoria is a great example of the company’s commitment to the circular economy. The facility is designed to treat food processing residue and produces renewable biogas which will be used for heating water in the wash-down process.
Director of Booth Transport, Mitchell Booth commented: “The modular nature of the Gaia anaerobic digestion (biodigester) solution matched our requirements. Furthermore, the Gaia technical team has shown a deep capability and commitment to bring the unit online and optimise its performance”.
Booth Transport invested in a Gaia EnviroTech Biodigester facility to convert organic waste to energy and improve the environmental outcomes of the business. The multi-stage facility was installed and commissioned by Gaia engineers following feedstock testing, analysis, engineering and design at Gaia’s HQ and Biolab based in Ballarat, Victoria.
The Gaia EnviroTech biodigester has the capacity to autonomously capture performance data and monitor key system health criteria, with recent results indicating solid biogas production. The Booth Transport biodigester is fed several sources of material including truck washdown DAF sludge to residues from industrial food manufacturing.
