The challenge of treating combined food and garden organics (FOGO) is a challenge that the Ararat Rural City Council (ARCC) has successfully addressed using innovative proprietary Rapid Composting technology and services from Gaia EnviroTech.

The CEO of ARCC, Dr Tim Harrison, commented: “The Ararat Rural City Council rapid composters were successfully installed onsite at our transfer station and performed to specification; reaching pasteurisation temperature within a few hours. We are very satisfied with the service, quality of compost produced and performance of Gaia EnviroTech – supporting us in our FOGO treatment challenge.”
Designing client solutions and related technology that reduce “waste miles” (ie transport distances) of FOGO is an important part of Gaia EnviroTech’s strategy to deliver low carbon and local solutions for organic waste treatment. Our team recognise and applaud the work undertaken by the Ararat Rural City Council to deliver this climate-positive solution.
