Dear valued supporters and clients,
2023 has been an exciting year during which we invested in our technology design, performance and manufacturing systems, and strengthened our organisational efficiencies.
We have had some real wins with the Gaia Rapid Composter technology. This approach to treating FOGO is a real solution for regional councils and assists in minimising “waste miles” where in some cases organic waste is trucked for as far as 250 kms. Trucking organic waste long distances is a poor carbon mitigation solution both for the planet and costs. Ararat Rural City Council and Hepburn Shire are leading the charge in this area.
Shortly the Gaia Anaerobic Digestion (AD) system will be installed at Victorian Government Dairy SmartFarm facility at Ellinbank, Gippsland. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate at a research facility how AD can operate on a pasture-based dairy.
The Gaia Anaerobic Digestion technology is being operated successfully on milk processing, dairy effluent and organic waste at a transport facility.
Gaia supported the recent Victorian Bioenergy Network event which demonstrated the importance of biogas as a renewable energy source for both industry and government.
As we approach the close of 2023, the Gaia team takes a moment to thank the incredible people and organisations that have played a role in shaping Gaia EnviroTech’s journey over the past year.
Reflecting on the year gone by, Gaia EnviroTech is delighted to have successfully delivered a series of exciting projects, contributing to our ongoing mission of addressing organic waste challenges. With enthusiasm and anticipation, we look ahead to 2024, ready to embark on new initiatives and continue making a positive impact.
During the festive season, some Gaia team members will be taking a well-deserved break, starting at the close of business on Thursday, December 21. A smaller crew will be available for support during the holiday period. The complete team will be back in the office on Monday, January 8. refreshed and ready to take on new challenges.
To our supporters and customers, we thank you for your trust and faith in us. As the holiday season unfolds, we wish you Happy Holidays, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. The Gaia team is excited about the prospect of further collaboration in 2024, and we eagerly look forward to the continued opportunity to serve and work together toward a sustainable future!
Warm regards,
Michael Renehan
Chief Executive Officer

The system in this case study was installed in November 2018 as a 12-month research and development project to establish viability of an anaerobic digestion plant designed to convert dairy effluent to energy and minimise odour.
