Gaia EnviroTech is proud to announce that our Chair, Elizabeth Lewis-Gray, has been appointed to the newly established Premier’s Business Council, designed to strengthen relations between the Victorian government and industry. This business council, revealed today by Premier Jacinta Allan MP, will be chaired by Ahmed Fahour AO, CEO of Gurner Group and former CEO of Australia Post.
Other members of the Business Council are made up of leading businesspeople from multi-nationals, small businesses, and from a diverse range of sectors including manufacturing, finance, education, retail, the arts, sports, housing, media and philanthropy. These include Andrew Irvine, CEO of National Australia Bank, Anthony Pratt, Chairman of Visy, Carol Schwartz AO, Chair of Equity Trustees and Member of Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Andrew Dillon, CEO of the AFL and Professor Sharon Pickering, Vice-Chancellor and President at Monash University.
In response to her appointment, Elizabeth Lewis-Gray shared, “I am honoured to be part of this important initiative. Strengthening collaboration between government and industry is crucial to driving innovation, attracting investment, creating jobs, and ensuring the long-term prosperity of Victoria – and, in particular, our regions. I look forward to working alongside leaders from across diverse sectors to help shape the future of our State.”
The business council will serve as a platform for direct dialogue between Victoria’s business leaders and the government, with the aim of advancing a collaborative environment for growth and progress across the state.
